What's Really At the End of the Rainbow By Fran Hafey

Are you still chasing leprechauns and waiting to find a pot of
gold at the end of the rainbow?

Are you expecting someone else to make you happy and fix your
life?

We all have the power to change our lives and it's our jobs to
make ourselves happy, not anyone else's. We have our own personal
power that is ours and is the essence of who we are. We have
personality and character, but this power resides deep within us
and sometimes in our lives, we may need to find it and bring it
to light.

What can we do to find our personal power and strengths and keep
them?

I have often shared with people that this personal power is
within us. It's what we are truly made of, that energy that makes
us who we are and makes us unique and special. It helps us in
times when we may feel that we can no longer go on. When we feel
that our world and life is at its lowest depth and that we can do
no more. This power is like a light, that may dim at times, but
if we look a bit closer, we will see it's always there, like the
leprechaun's gold, it shines brightly the more we learn to trust
it. It never leaves us, we just have to find it once again,
polish it up, feed it and help it to grow healthy and strong once
more.

We must exercise it just like we do our bodies. We must then
believe in ourselves and trust our own intuition and instincts.

One day, I was sitting, just pondering my life. I looked around
and I couldn't see much hope. I finally had a talk with myself
and asked a question, I felt I had to find an answer.

The question was...

"Is this what my life is going to be like until the end of my
days?"

When I found that my immediate answer scared me, I felt something
come over me. I felt a feeling of panic that I had to do
something, anything, to change my life.

But, where would I begin?

I thought about that question, a lot, and the answer, once I
truly listened, came from deep within my heart and soul and it
said "trust and love yourself, find the real you, she is there
waiting."

So, I began to search. My eyes were opened as well as my heart
and mind. I found that the person I was searching for had always
been there, she just needed to wake up and realize who she was
and how much power she truly had, right inside of her.

Since then I have come a very long way and am amazed many days,
but I am very happy to know me!! I am not saying that in a vain
way, but with love that the little girl, the woman and the
Spiritual teacher have now all met in the middle of my heart and
soul and are well onto the path of the light. Much like the path
we may follow to find the rainbow and that beautiful pot of
gold.... yes, the golden light of love and peace, which is the
treasure right inside of our hearts!!
