Memories of March By Fran Hafey/Mysti

It's snowing here today, its March and I have seen the daffodils
and tulips already peaking out of the ground, wanting to burst
out with their colors of spring.

It's the snow like today, the kind that is gently falling and
letting a small breeze blow it around and dance before me that
somehow mesmerizes and makes me stare at it, feeling myself also
floating away back in time.

I'm sure that some where in time, I have lived where there was a
lot of snow, but just as I remember the memories of when I was a
child in this life, I also see times when I lived on mountain
sides and have felt the wind on my face and can see the glens
below me and far, far away I hear the Celtic drums and see green
hills as far as I can see.

I have a longing... to be back there and my heart aches for what
it knows so well. It's just one of many visions and memories I
have tucked away in my heart and mind. I can recall people that
were important in my life and how we loved life so very much. We
loved and knew not of greed and stress. We just lived and did
what we had to do, attending to our children, animals, our crops
and holding dear to honor.

Knowledge of our past lives can help us to understand why we are
drawn to certain things in this life and can show us a pattern.
We may feel a strong pull to places, people, beliefs and things.
When we let ourselves float back in time and let the thoughts and
memories come, we can then start putting the pieces of the puzzle
together.

It can be a quite interesting adventure, letting ourselves feel
and see parts of who we are and why we relate to people the way
we do. I know who I am in this life, but I know that the past and
my past lives also have molded my soul through time and that is
why I am who I am and do what I do.

I may not ever see in this life, those rolling green hills and
tall mountaintops or feel the Celtic air on my face, but I dream
about it and may one day just visit there and never leave again.
