Awakening into Awareness
Free ezine and online mentoring based upon an extraordinary experience of spontaneous awakening: a sudden, direct insight into the nondual nature of Reality, described by Vedantists as Advaita ('not-two'), by Tibetan Buddhists as Dzogchen ('The Natural Great Perfection'), and by Zen Buddhists as Kensho ('the essence of one's being'). The AIA website includes traditional wisdom, insights and reflections about the experience of Awakening, along with several free mailing lists and a series of simple experiments designed to challenge our fundamental assumptions about the nature of Reality. Cultivate Peace, Joy and Clarity Through Walking Meditation by Elizabeth Reninge
Walking meditation is a practice that I was introduced to in 1992, by the Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. It was offered as part of a three-week retreat at Plum Village ~ Thich Nhat Hanh’s monastery in south-central France. What’s wonderful about this practice is that it takes something that most of us do everyday (walking!), and transforms in such a way that it becomes a tool for becoming more awake, more conscious, more peaceful and clear … more ALIVE in the present moment. Mind Inscription
The nature of the mind is un-born. Why should it be necessary to know this? Fundamentally there is not one single phenomenon; who then can speak about defilement and purification? There is no end to coming and going, and no matter how much one seeks, one will never realize it! When everything is inactive, then the bright stillness will manifest by itself. Any thoughts?
