Babylonian and Assyrian Literature, by Anonymous
The great nation which dwelt in the seventh century before our era on the banks of Tigris and Euphrates flourished in literature as well as in the plastic arts, and had an alphabet of its own. The Assyrians sometimes wrote with a sharp reed, for a pen, upon skins, wooden tablets, or papyrus brought from Egypt. In this case they used cursive letters of a Phoenician character. Any thoughts?

Leonardo da Vinci, by Maurice W. Brockwell
"Leonardo," wrote an English critic as far back as 1721, "was a Man so happy in his genius, so consummate in his Profession, so accomplished in the Arts, so knowing in the Sciences, and withal, so much esteemed by the Age wherein he lived, his Works so highly applauded by the Ages which have succeeded, and his Name and Memory still preserved with so much Veneration by the present Age--that, if anything could equal the Merit of the Man, it must be the Success he met with. Moreover, 'tis not in Painting alone, but in Philosophy, too, that Leonardo surpassed all his Brethren of the 'Pencil.'" Any thoughts?

The Book of the Dead, by E. A. Wallis Budge
"Book of the Dead" is the title now commonly given to the great collection of funerary texts which the ancient Egyptian scribes composed for the benefit of the dead. These consist of spells and incantations, hymns and litanies, magical formulae and names, words of power and prayers, and they are found cut or painted on walls of pyramids and tombs, and painted on coffins and sarcophagi and rolls of papyri. The Flying Saucers are Real, by Donald Keyhoe
This was one of the first books published about the UFO phenomena. We are fortunate that it ended up in the public domain. It is a template for much of what would follow: the paranoia, the government disinformation, the inescapable conclusion that the saucers are not of this earth. Keyhoe, with his spare, matter of fact writing style, which also conveys a profound sense of wonder, has to be the prototype for the deadpan Fox Mulder of the X-Files. Any thoughts?

Legends Of The Gods, by E. A. Wallis Budge
The welcome which has been accorded to the volumes of this Series, and the fact that some of them have passed into second and third editions, suggest that these little books have been found useful by beginners in Egyptology and others. Hitherto the object of them has been to supply information about the Religion, Magic, Language, and History of the ancient Egyptians, and to provide editions of the original texts from which such information was derived. The Babylonian Story of the Deluge as Told by Assyrian Tablets from Nineveh, by
In 1845-47 and again in 1849-51 Mr. (later Sir) A. H. Layard carried out a series of excavations among the ruins of the ancient city of Nineveh, "that great city, wherein are more than sixteen thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left; and also much cattle" (Jonah iv, II). Its ruins lie on the left or east bank of the Tigris, exactly opposite the town of Al-Mawsil, or MÙsul, which was founded by the Sassanians and marks the site of Western Nineveh. Any thoughts?

Egyptian Ideas of the Future Life, by E. A. Wallis Budge
The following pages are intended to place before the reader in a handy form an account of the principal ideas and beliefs held by the ancient Egyptians concerning the resurrection and the future life, which is derived wholly from native religious works. The literature of Egypt which deals with these subjects is large and, as was to be expected, the product of different periods which, taken together, cover several thousands of years; and it is exceedingly difficult at times to reconcile the statements and beliefs of a writer of one period with those of a writer of another. Crashed Discs 12,000 Years Ago
High in the mountains of BayanKara-Ula, on the borders of China and Tibet - a team of archaeologists were conducting a very detailed routine survey of a series of interlinked caves. Their interests had been excited by the discovery of lines of neatly arranged graves which contained the skeletons of what must have been a strange race of human beings; strange because they had unnaturally spindly bodies and large, overdeveloped heads... Flying Aircraft and Nuclear War and Other Strange Occurences of the Past
The Indian Epics, especially the MAHABHARATA, pick up the thread of the tale of devastation and destruction. Atlantis, rather displeased at its humiliating defeat, deceived that they were no longer interested in subjugating the Rama Empire (An Indian Empire), and decided instead to annihilate the major cities using weapons of mass destruction. Sanskrit scholars could not comprehend what was being described in the Epics until the dropping of the first atomic bombs on Japan... Any thoughts?

Is Mars Habitable?, by Alfred Russel Wallace
This small volume was commenced as a review article on Professor Percival Lowell's book, _Mars and its Canals_, with the object of showing that the large amount of new and interesting facts contained in this work did not invalidate the conclusion I had reached in 1902, and stated in my book on _Man's Place in the Universe_, that Mars was not habitable. Atlantis Wisdom
There has been a lot of speculation about Edgar CayceÌs readings concerning the lost Atlantean ÎHall of RecordsÌ in Giza.
In 1998-1999 I received a set of texts during meditation that appear to be a summary of the esoteric knowledge of Atlantis Ò a potted version of the Records, if you like. This site contains the texts with links to information that came to light when researching the accuracy of the information received... Any thoughts?
